Clarksons Securities is the leading Metals & Minerals Investment Bank, and due to high activity levels, we are looking to expand our Equity Research team within the sector.

We are searching for one or two analysts to join the team, and the selected candidate(s) will be responsible for covering companies within mineral extraction and processing, critical minerals for the energy transition, and the battery value chain; refining, battery cell production, battery pack assembly and recycling.

We are seeking applicants who understand the importance of both base metals and critical minerals, and their role in the energy transition and electrification, and who are motivated to be part of this journey. Further, we are looking for individuals with an excellent academic record and a keen interest in finance and capital markets. Candidates must have strong analytical skills, be highly motivated, structured, and possess considerable working capacity. Strong communication skills are a requirement, and candidates must be fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and oral.

The ideal candidate(s) may have two to five years of relevant work experience – desirably from an equity research or credit research position – and the position(s) will be scoped based on the candidate’s capabilities. Candidates with a relevant university degree and strong credentials from relevant industries, consulting, management consulting, asset management or other related backgrounds will also be considered.

As an Equity Research analyst you will analyze financial data, provide industry market outlooks and company valuations, and regularly publish research material on listed companies and capital markets transactions. The position requires significant quantitative abilities, and candidates must be comfortable presenting conclusions both in a written format and in front of an audience.

Travel will be required as part of the role.
