As part of our efforts to expand our offering within the E&P space, we are looking for a very motivated analyst who will be responsible for building research coverage of oil and gas companies present both on the NCS and internationally.

We are seeking applicants who show great interest in E&P, and who understand that oil and gas plays an important role for the global economy and will remain part of the energy mix for the foreseeable future. Given the scope of the role, the candidate must be highly motivated and self-driven, and show an ability to analyze and highlight value drivers for the industry and the companies within. Further, we are looking for individuals with an excellent academic record and a keen interest in finance and capital markets. Candidates must have strong analytical skills, be structured, and possess considerable working capacity. Strong communication skills are a requirement, and candidates must be fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and oral.

The ideal candidate(s) may have up to five years of relevant work experience – desirably from an equity or credit research position, or from the industry. Candidates with a relevant university degree and strong credentials from consulting, management consulting, asset management or other related backgrounds will also be considered. We also encourage exceptional graduates to apply.

As an Equity Research analyst you will analyze financial data, provide industry market outlooks and company valuations, and regularly publish research material on listed companies and capital markets transactions. The position requires significant quantitative abilities, and candidates must be comfortable presenting conclusions both in a written format and in front of an audience.

Travel will be required as part of the role.
