FLEET MANAGER

Norwegian Car Carriers (NOCC) is a tonnage provider owning a fleet of 6 Pure Car Truck Carriers (PCTC). 3 vessels on the water are employed under charter contracts with major car carrier operators transporting cars and rolling goods worldwide. NOCC is in the process of transition to low emission and has contracted three large size multi fuel (LNG, VLSFO, MGO, Ammonia Ready) PCTC for delivery 2025 / 2026 / 2027. NOCC build on 60 year`s experience of owning and operating car carriers. The company operates out of its head office in Oslo, and is owned by JP Morgan advised Global Meridian Holdings (GMH, a company controlling about 140 ships and newbuildings in several shipping segments). All of NOCC`s ships are managed by external technical management companies.

NOCC is seeking a Fleet Manager to be responsible for overlooking that the fleet is operated and managed in accordance with NOCC requirements, and to follow up and contribute to the NOCC newbuilding program and new projects. The position requires travelling to vessel inspections, shipyard- and technical manager visits. The Fleet Manager reports to the CEO and will cooperate with the company`s shareholder`s technical setup (GMH / Oceonix, London).

Education: Higher technical and/or maritime education

Experience: 5-8 year of experience from technical management of roro / car carriers.

Tasks:

  •  Oversee the daily operation of ships, addressing ongoing issues and technical challenges.
  •  Communicate with crew members, stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
  •  Manage newbuild projects, closely monitor drawings, and track project progress.
  •  Stay updated on environmental regulations and requirements, both current and upcoming.
  •  Develop and implement plans to comply with environmental and regulatory requirements.
