Firenor International AS is a world-leading provider of advanced active fire protection systems within the energy, oil & gas, and renewable sectors. We offer turnkey projects from conceptual design, through on-time delivery of fully tested fire suppression systems and in-service and maintenance in operations. Firenor has become a leading provider of fire protection systems for offshore wind converter stations and is a leading player in the global energy transition.

Firenor is headquartered in Kristiansand. In addition, we are running operating units in Kristiansand, Bømlo, Dubai (UAE) and Dalian (China). Firenor currently has 135 employees and 400 MNOK revenue. Revenue numbers are expected to rise significantly over the next few years due to an ambitious growth strategy with focus both on organic growth and M&A. Firenor is 100% owned by Concejo AB which is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

In order to support our growth journey, we are looking to hire a CFO in a newly established position.

Responsibilities

Our new CFO will be a core member of the group management team supporting the CEO and the rest of the management team in the company’s growth journey. Main responsibilities include:

• Building a modern, strategic and business-orientated group finance department
• Lead and develop the finance process in Norway, UAE and China
• Strategy and business development, including M&A and post-merger operations
• Financial strategy and planning
• Business controlling and analysis
• Performance management and KPIs
• Financial reporting
• Financial risk management
• Optimizing working capital
• Banking relations
• Contract management/Legal analysis
• Financial modelling
• Accounting and tax issues – both nationally and internationally
• Management reporting and preparations for board meetings
• Collaboration with the parent company’s CFO and financial team
• Participate in analysis of potential finance support systems and AI solutions

Experience

Candidates should be business-oriented and have proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role within a multinational organization. You should be used to developing and implementing financial strategies and you will need a good understanding of accounting, tax, finance and international financial markets. Experience in M&A, project-based companies, energy sector, and/or EPC business is an advantage. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills are preferred. Furthermore, it is important to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Education

Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

Work location

Firenor is headquartered in Kristiansand but, the position will also entail some travel within Norway and internationally.
