Wilhelmsen Global Business Services (GBS) is seeking an engaged Senior Financial Controller to join our global Finance team. Our GBS division consist of Finance, HR and IT, providing critical services to the majority of companies within the Wilhelmsen Group.

As a Senior Financial Controller, you will play a central role in ensuring quality in our financial reporting, as well as collaborating closely with Finance Directors and our global network to optimize accounting and reporting processes across our operations in 60 countries.

Reporting to: Finance and Accounting Director, GBS

Key responsibilities and tasks:

• Work closely with group companies and internal stakeholders to initiate, implement and guide new financial processes, process improvements and various projects within the accounting and reporting area.
• Maintain, develop, and implement finance policies, processes, and routines.
• Play an active role in the monthly and annual financial closing process, including analysis, control of figures and advise on accounting treatment.
• Support reporting to the relevant authorities and guide the business on external audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and IFRS requirements.
• Contribute to a robust internal control environment within GBS Finance.
• Support internal control audits and training.

Desired qualifications and background:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Auditing or similar.
• Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience from audit, financial advisory services, financial controlling or similar.
• Strong understanding and experience with financial processes and process improvements.
• Experience and knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles.
• Strong communication skills and fluent in English.
