Höegh LNG operates world-wide with a leading position as owner and operator of floating LNG import terminals; floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs), and is one of the most experienced operators of LNG Carriers (LNGCs). On behalf of Höegh LNG we are searching for a Team Manager Corporate Accounting to lead the Oslo Accounting team. The role is a visible role that will be exposed to different levels of the organization as well as managing a team consisting of five Accounting Managers. You will be coordinating and managing the entity level accounting and financial reporting in Oslo. We are looking for a candidate with strong technical skills as well as leadership experience, preferably from an international environment. You must have the ability to communicate efficiently with different levels of the organization and across borders. You should be a person that thrives with the combination of leadership as well as technical accounting issues and enjoy delivering at a high level. The role reports to SVP, Head of Group Accounting and Controlling. The candidate we are looking for is a candidate that wants to be a part of Höegh LNGs long-term growth plan.

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate accounting processes for assigned entities in the group
  • Implementation and follow-up of accounting procedures 
  • Maintain and improve internal controls 
  • Assist and review tax filings and Joint Venture reporting
  • Perform key controls of assigned legal entities
  • Assist on the completion of statutory financials and annual budgets
  • Assist internal & external auditor 
  • Personnel responsibility for 5 team members

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Accounting & Audit
  • 8-10 years work experience, preferably from a “big four” audit firm with experience in accounting, audit, internal control
  • Leadership experience preferably from an international business
  • Preferably experience from stock listed entities 
  • IFRS knowledge and willingness to work with other accounting standards
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
