Equity Research – Oil Services

Clarksons Securities AS is one of the leading international investment banks within the Oil Services sector.

We are looking to expand our Oil Services team in the Equity Research department with one analyst to accommodate higher activity levels. The selected candidate will, together with the current team, be responsible for covering companies within the offshore drilling space, the OSV and Subsea sectors, as well as other relevant names within the broader Oil Services sphere.

We are seeking applicants who show great interest in offshore energy, and who are motivated and willing to deep-dive into the offshore oil services industry to highlight market dynamics and the value drivers for the companies therein. Further, we are looking for individuals with an excellent academic record and a keen interest in finance and capital markets. Candidates must have strong analytical skills, be highly motivated, structured, and possess considerable working capacity. Strong communication skills are a requirement, and candidates must be fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and oral.

The ideal candidate(s) may have up to five years of relevant work experience – desirably from an equity research or credit research position – and the position(s) will be scoped based on the candidate’s capabilities. Candidates with a relevant university degree and strong credentials from relevant industries, consulting, management consulting, asset management or other related backgrounds will also be considered. We also encourage exceptional graduates to apply.

As an Equity Research analyst you will analyze financial data, provide industry market outlooks and company valuations, and regularly publish research material on listed companies and capital markets transactions. The position requires significant quantitative abilities, and candidates must be comfortable presenting conclusions both in a written format and in front of an audience.

Travel will be required as part of the role.
