Clarksons Platou Securities has a broad and diverse global institutional client base, specializing in the Clarksons Platou Group’s core maritime sectors, offering services including equity and fixed income sales and trading, equity and credit research, corporate access and Investment Banking services, including advising clients on a range of equity and debt capital markets and M&A transactions. Clarksons Platou Securities has approximately 80 employees located in Oslo and New York.

 

Due to high activity levels, Clarksons Platou Securities AS is offering an attractive opportunity to join its Credit Research team in Oslo with the position focused on analysis of high yield bonds within our core sectors of shipping, offshore energy, renewables and metals & minerals.

As a Credit Research analyst, you will analyze financial data, provide industry market outlooks and corporate credit assessments, and regularly publish research material on listed bonds and debt capital markets transactions.

The ideal candidate has 1 to 5 years of relevant work experience, though new graduates will also be considered. Candidates with a relevant university degree and strong credentials from accounting, commercial banking, management consulting, asset management or other related backgrounds will also be considered. Specific experience within credit analysis is preferred but not required.

We are seeking candidates with an excellent academic record and a keen interest in finance and capital markets. Candidates must have strong analytical skills, be highly motivated, structured, and possess considerable working capacity. Strong communication skills are a requirement, and candidates must be fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and oral. The candidates can expect to be offered varied and challenging tasks, including building financial models, performing valuations, prepare presentations and other ad hoc work. The position requires significant quantitative abilities, and candidates should be comfortable presenting conclusions in a written format.
